The laying up of the old colours of the Royal Anglian Regiment in the presence of H.R.H. Duke of Gloucester. His Royal Highness was introduced to both the Mayor and Mayoress. He asked about the significance of the Alfred Jewel on the Mayoral chain, and whilst the Mayor was a little flummoxed, the Mayoress was able to answer! Also to remind him that he had actually visited St Neots to officially 'unveil' the Alfred Jewel Mosaic in the Market Square.

The Cadets had put on a display of memorabilia which was very interesting. They had done a lot of research with particular reference to all the medals and decorations which had been won by members of the Regiment.
