Cambridgeshire Royals - Dragon Boat Youth Team

Cambridgeshire Royals Dragon Boat Team invited the Mayor and Mayoress to partake of a river excursion. Swapping Mayoral chains for life jackets they were helped aboard and joined in wth some gentle paddling! Cllr Giles said "I really wanted to bang the drum but just couldn't climb aboard the seat".

Brian Samuel, Head Coach and Youth Coach said: “It was a real privilege to have the Mayor and Mayoress come down and meet the Cambridgeshire Royals members this morning. The time they spent with us was really appreciated, and it was great to see how they joined in with the youth training session by going out in the boat, and having a go at paddling. The youngsters really enjoyed showing off their skills and having their photo taken with them both.”
