Friday 21st October - an invitation to attend the Royal Society of Saint George Trafalgar Dinner could not be passed up. An enjoyable evening was spent celebrating Trafalgar Day, with lovely food, emotive poetry readings and fine entertainment. The Mayor & Mayoress thoroughly enjoyed the Noel Coward and Flanders & Swann songs.
Saturday 22nd October - 'Snail Racing' at Higham Ferrers Town Council was an evening full of fun, slimey snails (cartoon characters not real ones!) and a very tasty fish 'n' chip supper, in aid of Cllr Pam Whiting's charities. "Hope you race night on 5th November for my charities is just as much fun" said Mayor Cllr Derek Giles.
